Knowing God

Knowing God

Many people know about God, but few really know Him.  Knowing God is not just intellectual knowledge of who He is but a personal knowledge of Him as your Heavenly Father.  The Bible teaches that Jesus was God’s son, sent by God to reveal the Father to us.  It goes on to say that who ever will receive Him, to them He gives the power to become one of His children.  John 1:12

Although God created us all, we have been separated from Him by sin.  Every one of us has sinned and come short of His standard of perfection.  For that sin the Bible says we deserve death, but God wants to give us life.  Romans 3:23, 6:23  He provides this life by giving Jesus Christ to pay our penalty for death, which He did on the cross.  John 3:16, Colossians 2:14  The rest is up to us, we can confess our sin, believe that He died for us and rose again, ask Him to save us and recieve eternal life.  Or we can reject Him and be separated from Him forever.

You see, because God is holy, He allows no sin into Heaven.  He has made the provision for our righteousness in Jesus Christ and wants us to seek forgiveness and find life in Christ.  The Bible is clear that those who reject Christ are condemned and will spend eternity in a place of suffering forever.  John 3:17,18  This place is called Hell and it was created for Satan.

Would you come to Jesus today?  I urge you to place your faith in Him, believe that He died for you and rose again, and receive Him as your Savior today.  Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man comes to the Father but by me”.  John 14:6

Pray this Prayer to Receive Jesus:  Dear God, I know that I am a sinner with no hope, please forgive me for my sins.  I believe that Jesus died for me and rose again. Help me to turn from my sin that I might live for you. Jesus come into my life and be my Lord and Savior.  Amen
